My Leagues

Currently, I am committed to 2 leagues. I may join a third at a later date, but I have been trying to scale back (after playing in 10 in 2007), due to time constraints.

League #1
History: This league is in its' 5th season. It has evolved over the years to its current format.

Setttings:
  • 10 team Head-to-Head (Weekly)
  • Last Year's Format was 7x6 (TB, OBP, and K/9)
  • Lineup is standard for Hitters, and 9 Pitchers (3 SP, 3 RP, 3P)
  • Year-to-Year league (Draft is currently not scheduled)
  • 75 move maximum for season
  • 21 inning pitched minimum per week
I am also the commissioner of this league. I don't really have any particular powers, other than to be available if a conflict within the league arises.

Every season, the competition in this league gets better, and it is a never ending battle to stay ahead of the curve.

League #2
History: This league is in its' 3rd season. It started as a midseason league, and last season was its first full season. This league has an unique format, in that every owner has chosen a Major League team that it represents.

Settings:
  • 14 team Standard 5x5 Roto league
  • Standard roster, except for extra Utility position. Total roster of 24, with 2 Disabled List spots.
  • Full Keeper League (entire roster kept at end of each season)
  • 3 round minor league draft at end of each season
  • Draft picks are tradeable
  • Minor leaguers must be added to active roster if they reach 70 IP or 175 AB
  • Each team is required to have 6 players on their active roster from their chosen Major League team at the end of each season.
This league is definitely more interesting to me. I represent the Chicago Cubs, and have my fair share of them. I have begun the process of rebuilding in this league.

The league has retained 7 of its 14 original owners thus far, and is really shaping up to be an excellent long-term league.

The keeper format is really interesting to me, and has allowed me to continue paying attention to baseball in the offseason.
